I love the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day(Week) so much that I decided to have two giveaways this December! I am so glad that they moved the date forward so that Christmas giveaways can be included this year. I have a set of fabric Christmas gift bags for a giveaway. There are many several sizes included so you can wrap all kinds of gifts!
|
The is lots of glitter on these bags even though it is hard to see. |
|
Santa, gingerbread men, and a lovely Christmas village adorn these bags. |
|
Here is a close up of two of the glittery bags so that you can tell they are glittery!
|
Here is a close up of the village on the small bag. |
Each bag has an attached ribbon so that you can tie everything up
with a bow! The best thing about these bags is that they are reusable!
No more paper and ribbon to throw away! Just put the bags away til next
year and then refill them!! I will include some name tags to go on the
ribbon so you will be ready to wrap as soon as you receive the bags!
Just
leave a comment about your favorite wrapping technique(bet you can
guess mine!) to win the set of 8 bags. For a second chance become a
follower! Be sure to post a second comment so I know! I will ship internationally.
Don't forget to check out all the other great giveaways from Sew Mama Sew. The giveaways start on Monday December 3rd and ends Friday December 7th.

I love to use wrapping paper as it sounds so nice to hear kids ripping into the package to see the excitment on their faces when they see their gifts. The gift bags are great also. Nice give away.

ReplyDeletethat would be so much better than paper
ReplyDeleteLast year I made the tags and decoration for all the gifts. I would really like to try butcher paper/ brown paper and decorate them with stamps and washi tape :)
ReplyDeleteWe've actually used the coloured comic pages from the newspaper in the past!
ReplyDeleteThese are just lovely and such an eco friendly way to wrap things up.
Thank you for the chance :)
I'm a follower of yours :)
ReplyDeleteI like to wrap presents with fabric if it's for a sewing friend so that they have an extra piece to put in their stash.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower.
ReplyDeleteI use gift bags and add a few embellishments to them.
ReplyDeleteI'm already a follower.
ReplyDeleteI usually use wrapping paper but this year I'm making as many bags as possible!
ReplyDeleteI'm a happy follower!

ReplyDeleteWe use old architectural drawings as wrapping paper. My spouse has rolls and rolls of them. It's a fun way to recycle and folks enjoy asking what the drawing was for.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity! You have my favorite way of wrapping up above :-) Reusable fabric gift bags!
ReplyDeleteAgain, thanks for the opportunity, I am a follower!
ReplyDeleteI'm a put it in a box, wrap, beautiful bows and the paper and ribbons have to all match. I'm very color cooridinated at Christmas!

I love these bags and would love to win the set. You do such a nice job on them too.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower and my favorite wrapping is with paper and ribbons.
ReplyDeleteI love using bags and paper and ribbon. I think I will start making fabric bags. These are a fantastic idea.
ReplyDeletepaper covered shoe boxes
ReplyDeleteand following
ReplyDeleteWhen I wrap with paper I like to use fancy fabric ribbons like you would put on a wreath. I also love bags and often buy the ones intended as reusable shopping bags. Some stores (Michael's for one) have really cute ones. Making them like yours is a great idea too!
ReplyDeleteMy fav is: kraft paper, yarn of different colors all around and a felted crochet nothing (a flower, one little heart) on top. On my spare time I crochet little thing and then I felt them all together to use when I need.
ReplyDeleteI do use paper to wrap! lol Loooove your bags! what a cool & clever idea! (I even use the comics from our Sunday papers!)
ReplyDeleteThanks soooo much for chance to win your Drawing! :)
I am a new follower, thru GFC!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a second chance to win! Yay! :)
I love the old fashioned paper the best. I can't use those plastic ribbon bows though because me cat likes to eat them
ReplyDeleteI hate wrapping - especially odd sized items. So using gift bags like this is perfect for me (plus, I don't feel like I'm "wasting" paper)
ReplyDeleteI'm now a follower (GFC)
ReplyDeleteI love a good gift bag...lazy, I know!

I love using gift bags and I love that yours are so ecologically sensible.
ReplyDeleteThank you for a great giveaway.
I love using gift bags too! I love simple designs that look Christmas-y! Thank you for the giveaway
ReplyDeleteThese are perfect, thank you for sharing. My usual way to wrap (because I am lazy) is to put the gift in a paper gift bag with some tissuepaper to cover it up.

I like traditional wrapping paper because it's fun to open, but when I want to be a little more environmentally friendly, I like to wrap in fabric or old newspaper and tie with a nice bow.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I use fabric gift bags for everything except for one paper-wrapped present per kid. It's fun to see the bags get passed around my family and circle of friends from year to year.
ReplyDeleteOMG I sooo need these cute gift bags!! I like to use tea towels as wrapping so the person gets their guft PLUS a tea towel specifically chosen for them :) The men aren't impressed but their wives like it!
ReplyDeleteI love your idea, great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI like to use brown paper, it's usually already recycled and you can recycle it again. I just decorate it with stamps, drawings or use twine, ribbon and yarn to add punches of colour.
I've never used fabric bags before, but would love to try! I love baskets - lots of little presents in one big basket :) And I'm always a sucker for good old wrapping paper.
ReplyDeletei love these bags. i always think i'm going to try that, but then i run out of time and have my girls draw on newspaper to use for wrapping paper. thanks so much for the chance to really use pretty wrapping bags this year!
ReplyDeletemerry christmas!
I will often buy tote bags for birthday gifts instead of using paper or a (paper) gift bag that just get thrown away. These look cute, and would get reused too.
ReplyDeleteWrapping paper and if it is a good pressie a tape it up really well
ReplyDeleteI like to use wrapping paper - I also like to put the tags on the BACK so you cannot see them. (Also keeps temptation away...)
ReplyDeleteI usually use wrapping paper, but fabric bags would be so much more eco-friendly.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower.
ReplyDeleteI have always used paper but I am going to try to be creative with fabric wrapping this year!
ReplyDeleteWe love to use fabric gift bag in our family too. They look so lovely under the tree.
ReplyDeleteHow cool!! I use regular ole wrapping paper, but these are WAY more amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI've always used paper before, but I'm trying to be more green now, so these bags would be a great help.
ReplyDeletelisa(at)vetteklisa(dot)com
I'm just getting into fabric wrapping paper. Otherwise, I love the crisp high end paper. You know, with the grid on the back and that you can REALLY crease.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite technique is to try to get my daughter to wrap for me!!!! These type of bags would make it so much easier for me!
ReplyDeleteI made a bunch of those last year when I was too lazy and pregnant to go to the store for paper or bags :) I wrapped one year with misprint maps from work (I worked at a historical archive, and the duplicator for map copies would sometimes have errors) - pretty neat looking.
ReplyDeleteAnd, following!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I like to use random bits of fabric or paper but I usually am in a rush and reuse a rumpled gift bag. :-)
ReplyDeleteI like to use brown craft paper and newspaper with a colorful ribbon. :)
ReplyDeletepeachstateme (at) hotmail (dot) com
I like to use plain red paper and fancy wired ribbon which can be used over and over again. I use last years Christmas cards to make this years gift tags. I have made gift bags from fabric for birthdays.
ReplyDeleteGreat bags! I am usually a wrapping paper kind of girl, but today I bought some fabric to try out the fabric bags, what a coincidence that our thoughts are aligned today!
ReplyDeleteHa! Whatever is quickest! I am not very good at making my gift wrapping look spectacular. It's what's inside that counts!
ReplyDeleteI usually use gift wrap, but I'd love to have some fabric reusable bags! Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLoved your blog so became a follower :),
ReplyDeleteI am a recycled paper wrapper when I can get away with it... but I do love to curl ribbon. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win your fantastic gift bags! :)

Those are so cute! We already have some fabric gift bags, but not enough-we end up using paper bags every year too (usually reusing ones other people have given us at some point!)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite wrapping technique from last year was making little sleds out of construction paper and candy canes (with fun sized candy bars tied up with ribbon like presents in the sleighs) for my brother-in-laws. We get them giftcards every year which is kinda boring to open, so it was fun to make it cutesy. Plus then they could eat the candy and not feel like they didn't actually get anything real that day, you know?
Fabric gift bags are my favourite way to wrap! I love wrapping paper too, but it's become so costly and it's so wasteful, I've almost given up on it. (And with fabric, you never have to find the end of the roll of tape!)
ReplyDeleteI use reusable paper gift bags, but these are so gorgeous I think this year I will use fabric bags as well. Yours are absolutely gorgeous and would make any Xmas tree so much prettier.
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to make more fabric gift bags - these would really help me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! If I don't win, I may have to go and make some of these anyway. :-) My family tries to reuse wrapping paper - gifts get unwrapped carefully, and the paper gets folded and put away for the following year. It's something we've always done, so gift bags like these would be perfect. :-)
ReplyDeletePlain boxes were used for years with regular wrapping on the outside that got torn off and recycled. I loved when I was gifted a present wrapped in fabric it was two presents in one!
ReplyDeleteLovely giveaway, and much bettern than paper - what I usualy use :(
ReplyDeleteFabulous giveaway....great gift on its own...imagine a handmade gift encasing another gift for Christmas. I have always recyled all my wrappers....added on extra ribbons and crochet flowers to enhance the gift.

Love this, beautiful fabrics.I use gift bags, but just today get brawn paper and had in mind something with it.Lovely giveaway, thanks for the chance to win it.
ReplyDeleteThese are great! Thanks! My favorite wrapping is old national geographic maps, but my stash is running really low!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy picking out a theme for each Christmas and wrapping or gift bagging accordingly. Tending toward less wrapping though~
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! I really hate wasting all of that paper and ribbon, wrapping presents that way. (which is my current favourite, by default, haha.)
ReplyDeleteI like to use gift bags. We have some paper ones that are years old and each child has his favorite. I love the fabric ones better as they last longer and have only a few. Don't know why I don't make more!
ReplyDeleteI like to use gift bags with tissue paper...although I can wrap very well, I don't like all the folding, measuring and tape!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very clever idea, making reusable gift bags! Cheers!
I love looking at beautiful packages tied up with burlap and ribbons and snowflakes and things, but I usually just go with paper. It's so much more fun for the kids to open good old fashion paper. :)
ReplyDeleteAnytime I get something wrapped and it's presentable I'm happy :)
ReplyDeleteLove the bags,
Thanks for the chance to win!
Oh gosh those would make a gift twice as nice! I fear I'm usually the "roll it in whatever paper you can find at the last minute, tape the heck out of it, and stick a bow from a bag full of them on top" sort of wrapper. My family would freak out if I casually handed over one of these...tee hee!
ReplyDeleteWe love using furishiki - I am especially fond of using bandanas. I also like to wrap larger items in pillowcases (homemade, of course) tied up with a big bow.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your generosity and kindness (even if I don't win)!
I love this reuseable packaging! Beautiful! Thank you for your generosity.
ReplyDeletestephw3-at-yahoo-dot-com
I usually use wrapping paper, but those gift bags would be really nice.
ReplyDeleteI always use wrapping paper or bags but these would be better and 'green'!
ReplyDeleteI use wrapping paper that I buy in the January sales. I should try harder however to be a bit more environmentally responsible and use reusable gift bags like you.
ReplyDeleteI love wrapping paper! Although I have been using the same roll for three Christmases now!
ReplyDeleteI love using brown paper, tied up with fabric ribbons.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I like to give gifts in fabric bags. Wrapping in brown paper grocery bags is also a go-to here.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower.
ReplyDeleteI love using such materials as old maps ans even if I use simple craftpaper I try to embellish it by sticking a matching picture to each side of the present
ReplyDeletepinkmalice (at) mail dot ru
We started using fabric from my stash a few years ago to save on paper. I do my best to wrap and make it look beautiful and then when the gift giving is over we fold it up and put it back! Love your bags. Maybe I should just buy some great Christmas fabric and make some too!
ReplyDeleteLove the gift bags; that's my favorite wrap, too!
ReplyDeleteI love to get just a roll of plain paper and let my kids decorate it with markers and stamps and what ever else they can get their hands on. no two presents look a like.
ReplyDeleteI'm now a follower
ReplyDeleteI love wrapping gifts in wrapping paper. The patterns are always so adorable! And, they are fun and messy when opened!
ReplyDeleteLove to use maps from Nat Geo.. or also collaged shopping bags from Anthro!
ReplyDeleteI have mastered gift wrapping boxes in paper, but I'm more than willing to use a homemade gift bag. I know I would enjoy receiving a gift in that type of bag. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI use Christmas wrapping paper and added a ribbon to it
ReplyDeleteI am a follower
ReplyDeleteFor years we wrapped most of our gifts in the colored sheets of newspaper - usually ads. It's recyclable too; regular wrapping paper can't be recycled!
ReplyDeleteI like to patchwork leftover pieces of wrapping paper. I also like to create a collage of photos and print them out to to wrap gifts.
ReplyDeleteI love brown paper painted by my children to wrap presents. And for younger children I love bags as they are quicker and they don't rip at the awkward corners.
ReplyDeleteI make greenlady reusable bags! I have to tie them closed using the handles and it is nowhere near as cute at your zipper bags.
ReplyDeleteI lke to use cloth bags as well!
ReplyDeleteI love bags like this because they are good for the environment, but, I can't deny that I do so love a brown paper package tied up with string! :) jinglesells at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteI like to use whatever is least expensive. If it's a recycled gift bag with tissue paper or some $.99 wrap from the store. The fabric bags are a nice idea though...you can keep using them over and over.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win.
Hi !
ReplyDeleteHere in France we use paper to wrap our presents, and kids love to tear the paper up to open their gifts ! So sellotape, paper and "bolduc" (ribbons you can curl with your scissors)are my best friends at the moment !
And I'm now a Google Firends Connect follower !
ReplyDeleteI usually paper wrap, but last year I made a bunch of stringed bags for the nieces and nephews.
ReplyDeleteExcellent giveaway! I made a bunch of bags out of red flannel last year for the presents from santa - it made the last minute part of Christmas Eve a breeze, and have been meaning to make more all year, and now it's December again already. They would get years of use in our house, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that my favourite wrapping technique is to ask my husband to wrap them for me. In fact he always offers because he's seen the results of my gift wrapping : )
ReplyDeletetill now it was beautiful papers I printed myself and fancy decorations, but seeing this I am thinking it's time for sth new
ReplyDelete:-)

I use pretty papers and handmade gift tags or good old brown paper and fabulous details, like velvet ribbons, flowers, etc
ReplyDeleteBut I love your way, I so much would love these!!
Joanna-Gloria, yana_ven@yahoo.gr
I use wrapping paper, but only because it's easiest. I've actually been using the same two (extra large!) rolls of reversible wrapping paper for about 10 years. Yay Costco! However, I love making reusable stuff, so I do have a couple of reusable gift bags... I'd love to add more to my collection though! footprint13@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteUm...is Christmas paper and scotch tape a technique?! I'd love a change from that to your cute bags.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is with fabric gift bags but I haven't had time to sew them all up. Last year I just wrapped some gifts in the fabric I had planned to make gift bags from. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMegan
Bellaboo.lee (at) gmail (dot) com
I use wrapping paper but make my own gift tags.
ReplyDeleteI usually have used bags to wrap because I find them so much easier to use than paper. These are lovely and I think the idea that they are reusable is so wonderful. The fabrics you chose are adorable and I would be thrilled to receive a gift in any of them! Thank you so much for participating in this giveaway,
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
I follow you blog via GFC. Thanks so much for the additional entry!
ReplyDeleteI love to use boxes and wrapping paper and bows but, lately, tend to use the handy gift bags for gifts of all kinds. Thanks for a great giveaway and Merry Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteFabric bags are my hands down favorite too! However, I've yet to get ahead of the curve and get enough made! I also find with little kids, my in-law's trick works really well right now - each kid gets a different wrapping paper - so easy to sort and find in the excitement on Christmas morning! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to use fabric gift bags like you do. I typically use paper gift bags and do reuse them.
ReplyDeleteI love to stamp on plain paper and last year I made pillowcases for the kids and put their gifts in those! thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe kids paint and stamp plain brown paper and we use that to wrap up gifts. Heaps cheaper and the kids feel part of the Christmas preparations.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win.
I love to use vintage wrapping paper that I get at estate sales. Your bags would go great with my glitter and sequin theme this year!
ReplyDeleteI love using wrapping paper. The best was the year Santa brought me a serger. My husband wrapped my presents in fabric remnants so I had fabric to practice on!
ReplyDeletei love using fabric to wrap gifts~ have you heard of korean bojagi? :)
ReplyDeleteaudrey_jiajia@msn.com
Bags of any sort I am not a good wrapper LOL

ReplyDeleteI'm all for giftbags
ReplyDeleteI usually use wrapping paper, but have been known to use fabric - so it can be reused. Love these gift bags!!
ReplyDeletequiltlady59 at fuse dot net
I have been known to use a clean but old sock when I can't find the mate. I also use Sunday comic to recycle. I love your idea, pretty plus reusable
ReplyDeleteBrown paper from grocery bags - decorated by the kids if there's time before wrapping!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite technique (apparently) is using too much tape so they cant get the presents open hah! This would definitely fix my problem!
ReplyDeletegdukeak@gmail.com
I love using craft paper and decorating with stamps or ribbon. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm still using up wrapping paper. Or I use gift bags. But I've been wanting to try fabric bags. THnaks for a chance to win! :)

I use bags just like the ones you have made! I add a few new ones every year. Thanks for the chance to help my collection grow!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I love that the ribbon is attached. If I had my choice I would wrap everything in bags but I have peekers.
ReplyDeleteBags are the easiest!
ReplyDeletefreesignge (at) gmail.
I like re-using paper grocery store bags and tying with ribbon or yarn. winterwrens at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteWe use reusable bags all the time- my mother uses fabric bags for our Christmas stockings now. These bags look great and Would be a perfect gift for my mom as our family keeps growing larger these days.

ReplyDeleteI like to use cloth bags. I need to make more, though, and this would give me a head start!
ReplyDelete
