Sew Mama Sew Giveaway 2!!!!!!

I love the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day(Week) so much that I decided to have two giveaways this December! I am so glad that they moved the date forward so that Christmas giveaways can be included this year. I have a set of fabric Christmas gift bags for a giveaway. There are many several sizes included so you can wrap all kinds of gifts!
The is lots of glitter on these bags even though it is hard to see.

Santa, gingerbread men, and a lovely Christmas village adorn these bags.

Here is a close up of two of the glittery bags so that you can tell they are glittery!

Here is a close up of the village on the small bag.

Each bag has an attached ribbon so that you can tie everything up with a bow! The best thing about these bags is that they are reusable! No more paper and ribbon to throw away! Just put the bags away til next year and then refill them!!  I will include some name tags to go on the ribbon so you will be ready to wrap as soon as you receive the bags!

Just leave a comment about your favorite wrapping technique(bet you can guess mine!) to win the set of 8 bags. For a second chance become a follower! Be sure to post a second comment so I know! I will ship internationally.

Don't forget to check out all the other great giveaways from Sew Mama Sew. The giveaways start on Monday December 3rd and ends Friday December 7th.

  1. I love to use wrapping paper as it sounds so nice to hear kids ripping into the package to see the excitment on their faces when they see their gifts. The gift bags are great also. Nice give away.

  2. that would be so much better than paper

    ReplyDelete
  3. Last year I made the tags and decoration for all the gifts. I would really like to try butcher paper/ brown paper and decorate them with stamps and washi tape :)

  4. We've actually used the coloured comic pages from the newspaper in the past!
These are just lovely and such an eco friendly way to wrap things up.

  15. When I wrap with paper I like to use fancy fabric ribbons like you would put on a wreath. I also love bags and often buy the ones intended as reusable shopping bags. Some stores (Michael's for one) have really cute ones. Making them like yours is a great idea too!

  16. My fav is: kraft paper, yarn of different colors all around and a felted crochet nothing (a flower, one little heart) on top. On my spare time I crochet little thing and then I felt them all together to use when I need.

  20. I hate wrapping - especially odd sized items. So using gift bags like this is perfect for me (plus, I don't feel like I'm "wasting" paper)

  26. I like traditional wrapping paper because it's fun to open, but when I want to be a little more environmentally friendly, I like to wrap in fabric or old newspaper and tie with a nice bow.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Great giveaway! I use fabric gift bags for everything except for one paper-wrapped present per kid. It's fun to see the bags get passed around my family and circle of friends from year to year.

    ReplyDelete
  28. OMG I sooo need these cute gift bags!! I like to use tea towels as wrapping so the person gets their guft PLUS a tea towel specifically chosen for them :) The men aren't impressed but their wives like it!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I love your idea, great giveaway!

I like to use brown paper, it's usually already recycled and you can recycle it again. I just decorate it with stamps, drawings or use twine, ribbon and yarn to add punches of colour.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I've never used fabric bags before, but would love to try! I love baskets - lots of little presents in one big basket :) And I'm always a sucker for good old wrapping paper.

    ReplyDelete
  31. i love these bags. i always think i'm going to try that, but then i run out of time and have my girls draw on newspaper to use for wrapping paper. thanks so much for the chance to really use pretty wrapping bags this year!

    merry christmas!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I will often buy tote bags for birthday gifts instead of using paper or a (paper) gift bag that just get thrown away. These look cute, and would get reused too.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wrapping paper and if it is a good pressie a tape it up really well

    ReplyDelete
  34. I like to use wrapping paper - I also like to put the tags on the BACK so you cannot see them. (Also keeps temptation away...)

  40. I'm just getting into fabric wrapping paper. Otherwise, I love the crisp high end paper. You know, with the grid on the back and that you can REALLY crease.

    ReplyDelete
  41. My favorite technique is to try to get my daughter to wrap for me!!!! These type of bags would make it so much easier for me!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I made a bunch of those last year when I was too lazy and pregnant to go to the store for paper or bags :) I wrapped one year with misprint maps from work (I worked at a historical archive, and the duplicator for map copies would sometimes have errors) - pretty neat looking.

    ReplyDelete
  43. These are great! I like to use random bits of fabric or paper but I usually am in a rush and reuse a rumpled gift bag. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  44. I like to use brown craft paper and newspaper with a colorful ribbon. :)
    peachstateme (at) hotmail (dot) com

  52. Those are so cute! We already have some fabric gift bags, but not enough-we end up using paper bags every year too (usually reusing ones other people have given us at some point!)

My favorite wrapping technique from last year was making little sleds out of construction paper and candy canes (with fun sized candy bars tied up with ribbon like presents in the sleighs) for my brother-in-laws. We get them giftcards every year which is kinda boring to open, so it was fun to make it cutesy. Plus then they could eat the candy and not feel like they didn't actually get anything real that day, you know?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Fabric gift bags are my favourite way to wrap! I love wrapping paper too, but it's become so costly and it's so wasteful, I've almost given up on it. (And with fabric, you never have to find the end of the roll of tape!)

    ReplyDelete
  54. I use reusable paper gift bags, but these are so gorgeous I think this year I will use fabric bags as well. Yours are absolutely gorgeous and would make any Xmas tree so much prettier.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I've been trying to make more fabric gift bags - these would really help me!

    ReplyDelete
  56. What a great giveaway! If I don't win, I may have to go and make some of these anyway. :-) My family tries to reuse wrapping paper - gifts get unwrapped carefully, and the paper gets folded and put away for the following year. It's something we've always done, so gift bags like these would be perfect. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Plain boxes were used for years with regular wrapping on the outside that got torn off and recycled. I loved when I was gifted a present wrapped in fabric it was two presents in one!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Lovely giveaway, and much bettern than paper - what I usualy use :(

    ReplyDelete
  59. Fabulous giveaway....great gift on its own...imagine a handmade gift encasing another gift for Christmas. I have always recyled all my wrappers....added on extra ribbons and crochet flowers to enhance the gift.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I like to use gift bags. We have some paper ones that are years old and each child has his favorite. I love the fabric ones better as they last longer and have only a few. Don't know why I don't make more!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I like to use gift bags with tissue paper...although I can wrap very well, I don't like all the folding, measuring and tape!
This is a very clever idea, making reusable gift bags! Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I love looking at beautiful packages tied up with burlap and ribbons and snowflakes and things, but I usually just go with paper. It's so much more fun for the kids to open good old fashion paper. :)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Anytime I get something wrapped and it's presentable I'm happy :)

    Love the bags,
Thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Oh gosh those would make a gift twice as nice! I fear I'm usually the "roll it in whatever paper you can find at the last minute, tape the heck out of it, and stick a bow from a bag full of them on top" sort of wrapper. My family would freak out if I casually handed over one of these...tee hee!

    ReplyDelete
  69. We love using furishiki - I am especially fond of using bandanas. I also like to wrap larger items in pillowcases (homemade, of course) tied up with a big bow.

  78. We started using fabric from my stash a few years ago to save on paper. I do my best to wrap and make it look beautiful and then when the gift giving is over we fold it up and put it back! Love your bags. Maybe I should just buy some great Christmas fabric and make some too!

    ReplyDelete

Thanks for a chance to win.

  92. Hi !
Here in France we use paper to wrap our presents, and kids love to tear the paper up to open their gifts ! So sellotape, paper and "bolduc" (ribbons you can curl with your scissors)are my best friends at the moment !
