A Giveaway you won't believe!

Huge-Monster-Crazy-Giant Giveaway over at It's Sew Kiki. You have to check it out because you will not believe your eyes! I am not kidding....she is giving away everything but the kitchen sink(maybe I had better check again...that might be included!)  So run, don't walk over there and join in the fun!!!!

Now that I have posted all the giveaway winners, I can tell you about my morning at Joann's! Our store was just renovated(and boy, did it need it!) So for three days they are having a great sale. The first fifty people each day receive a $5 gift card. Add in the fact that I had a 50% off one item coupon, and I had a fun morning! I have been seeing all of these great patterns for lunch bags and pool bags that are lined with laminated cotton BUT it is expensive and I wonder how it sews so this was a great opportunity to try it out. The fabric was $13 a yard, but half that price and add in the $5 card so the total cost was $1.50! Who can beat that? And I think it is gorgeous!  I also found a couple cute fabrics to make some small bags that I couldn't resist. Great shopping...I only spent $7.93 and have some really cute stuff to work with!

The fabric on the left is a cute Robert Kaufman print. Who doesn't love cats and sewing! The top right is the laminated cotton and I just love the bird print on the bottom right...Isn't it adorable?

One is good, two is better, and I guess three is best! While I was going through all of my patterns and such, I realized that I had a bunch  for little girls dresses that no longer will fit my granddaughter(Most are size 1-4). Why keep them when I can have a giveaway and someone who can use them can win! So I will stuff as many patterns in a flat envelope as I can and send it on to the winner! Another Giveaway!

I figure that if one giveaway is good, then two must be better! So here is a giveaway open to all! It is a cute little ironing mat that I made using Stephanie's tutorial  at Sewing by Stephanie. It is bright and cheery. I had fun making it and it is thick so should  be good for ironing. This sure makes it easier to press your quilt pieces! The photos aren't the greatest but I hope you can get an idea how it looks. The mat is 30" X 18".
